Important context on Index Diachronica: it’s intended mostly for conlangers aiming for naturalistic/believable conlangs, in order to implement sound changes in their conlangs. I’ve seen a few linguists using them in informal discussion for Historical Linguistics, but it should be taken with a grain of salt since, while it’s an amazing resource, there might be some rough corners and errors here and there, and it includes families discredited by the academy (as Altaic).
Good to know. Curious if there are any projects out there trying to make a more complete and scientifically accurate version, like PHOIBLE for phone inventories and WALS (or now grambank!) for syntax
