(First lemmy post so bear with me)

This is the most entertaining listing I’ve ever seen and I cannot get over the drinking water situation. Like am I reading this right? From the listing: “ *Please note, the water is not potable and should not be drank or consumed.” and bird’s response about bottles water. lol yeah sign me up!

Oh boy, she must really believe in her product to not want any information about it to be public on AirBnB. I’m sure that’s what took so long; she had to hire someone to build an entire website for her so no one could leave reviews or see how often it’s booked.

I just don’t quite understand what is the big deal about it being pink? Like it’s 2024, “unconventional” colors for houses are not a big deal.

Also yea it sleeps 10, but to me the space seems quite small.

I mean its whatever, to each his own. I have no idea why anyone would pay to stay on a lake, that is not exactly safe to swim in. 🤷🏼‍♀️ What’s the point?

She acts like she invented the colour pink when really it’s incredibly popular (and NOT because of her, as she once implied).

I’m always fascinated people defend her like she’s their friend and the fan-girling is disturbing

The lack of proof reading on anything she does amazes me. However, I should note I am a melting ice cream cone and I take pride in my work, unlike Birdie who does the least possible.

I do feel like the water situation is pretty normal, any cottage I’ve been to it’s a showering & brushing your teeth is ok but don’t drink it situation. But she could at least provide a water cooler like damn, it wouldn’t be much to have one and some spare jugs around.

Agree! I’m not originally from Ontario so I don’t have much cottage experience but if it wasn’t drinkable, I’d definitely expect an accommodation like a cooler so I don’t have to worry about supplying drinking water for all of my guests.

This heat wave should really crank up the algae blooms big time. I’m also assuming they must be on a well and they haven’t checked the water yet? Sheesh, amateurs (at life).

I’m on TT getting hot tub warnings all of a sudden 🤣. When the guests are done swimming in the algae lake they can take their chances in the hot tub.

I don’t believe they haven’t tested the water. I think it failed the test. Why not install a cooler system with water delivery? I wouldn’t want to schlep my drinking water when I’m paying $650/night
