The biggest issue with this frame was a dent on the lower tube, I didn’t have any decent blocks of wood to make a frame roller, so the wife and I spent yesterday making them as a 3d print.
While it didn’t completely remove the dent, it did help make it smaller.
Before
After: the paint wearing was from sanding down ready for painting not the blocks
Great idea for a print. I would expect the printed material to be too flexible though. Was that an issue, or is this kind of tool supposed to flex? My intuition is that it should be as hard as possible in order to shape the steel tube, but maybe I’m thinking about it wrong.
100% right, not a super ideal material at all held up in the vice surprisingly well I went for larger area in an attempt to make it withstand pressure a bit better, and didn’t notice any damage to the print which would have happened if it flexed too much it’s also PLA which is pretty stiff.
