I was told there were no stupid questions.
Let me ask you a stupid question: if the rules are available for you to read before you post, and you ignore them for whatever reason, is it really mod abuse when the mods enforce the rules?
No one likes having content removed. It feels shitty. But you have no one to blame but yourself on this one.
Thank you for your 2 cents.
I can cents some sarcasm in your comment.
The reason I removed your post is because it broke rule #1 of our community (as I noted, and you show in the screenshot).
Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.
All posts must be legitimate questions, and all post titles must include a question. Questions that are joke or trolling questions, memes, song lyrics as title, etc. are not allowed here. See Rule 6 for all exceptions.
As someone else has stated, I’m just enforcing the rules, just like I’d hope you would do here in this community that you mod. Honestly I’m a bit surprised you even posted this here, you should understand enforcing your community rules.
This comment is riding a fine line of breaking rule 1 of this community:
I demand to be entertained
But I’m an understanding guy, and I do believe that being a moderator doesn’t mean you have to check your sense of humor at the door, or become an extension of your report queue.
First you said I abused Lemmy rule 1, which I’ve explained it was community rule 1. So now you say I should play favoritism and cherry pick which posts should follow the rules, and which ones shouldn’t.
That’s not how this works, and would create a lot of problems in the bigger communities, mods have to be unbiased and enforce their rules.
Hope you have a better day today my friend.
Okay but this screenshot is hilarious and “mod abuse rule” would pull serious numbers on 196
There’s no shortage of shitty mods and simps who love them. I avoid any comms that I know have mods from Reddit or comms that feel too much like Reddit in their content. I don’t want another fucking padded room, there’s a million of them already. Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, etc etc; there’s no shortage of safe spaces for your weak minds, we don’t have to ruin every new site too.
Rule 1, also known as a .ml special.
