If you’re getting these regularly I’ve found more potassium in my diet helped a huge amount.

I don’t get these often, but when I do, trying to point my toes at my chin often helps. Very occasionally that doesn’t feel right and I know to point my toes the other way before I pay for making that choice.

If the bedclothes are tight or heavy and I’m under them, they can be used to hold the foot in place until the moment passes. Or until I have to get out of bed to writhe around or try something, anything else.

I don’t remember the last time the toe pointing thing didn’t work though. Maybe I just don’t get really bad ones.

Yeah, I get these every few months or so, and at this point when I feel one coming on I’ll automatically start pointing my toes up before I even fully wake up and realize what’s happening. That nips it in the bud before the pain starts, and I can go right back to bed.

We were always told to pull our toes up for calf cramps and it does work really well. It’s just that doing it can feel quite painful at first until the relief comes.

Oh look at this individual with all their potassium and hydration.

      Fuck you. (Not really)

Do some leg curls and calf extensions and drink no water for the rest of the day, or, better yet, drink a few glasses of wine before bed.

You will experience this in all it’s painful glory.

I’ve had a piece of rebar go through my calf and I still think these hurt worse than that…
