Anyone with more than 3 neurons knows this.

He’s one of the most “brilliant” people on the planet. He calls people communists and Marxists (he called bernie sanders a communist on Joe rogans slopcast).

He knows exactly what a nazi salute is. Period.

The only question is why:

1. He’s actually a proponent of nazism or racist ideology, eugenics nonsense.
2. He is just a right wing bigot, was being edgy, and probably bragging that he could do it and get away with it scott free (which he did).

I lean towards option 2, but would be completely unsurprised if option 1.
