    It’s crazy, I work in a liquor store, and the amount of distributors that are still pro trump is wild, and actual quote from one yesterday is “if he puts these tariffs through he’ll kill the industry, but at least gas is cheap”

    1. In our area gas has not gone down in about a year.
    2. IF YOU DONT HAVE A JOB GAS COULD BE SO CHEAP AND YOU STILL COULDNT GET IT

    Well, we all know prohibition was a stellar political win for Hoover and contributed to his landslide win over Roosevelt.

    I’m sure raising the price of alcohol dramatically will only be a political win for Trump.

    Whenever a business affected by tariffs needs to decide whether to increase prices or accept the lower margin, they should increase prices for Trump supporters only.

    I imagine this would work especially well for alcoholic beverages, first because this is going to hit them where it really hurts, and second because they might stop frequenting those places and everybody else could finally enjoy their mostly MAGA-free watering hole again.
