Clown Population. The clowns inside the White House are only a small fraction of a total society of mock for mock, reactionary mocking, clowns. The entire nation is a “basket case of clowning around” on social machines / HDTV media machines / mockery.

People like to play a game of psychological denial and say ONLY MAGA is the clowns, only the White House is the clowns. It’s the entire population of Untied States of America.

I know what will help! I’ll sow even MOAR division! Yes! People haven’t been divided enough by the billionaires and media owners on corpo social media, so I’m gonna bring division to the fediverse!

It sounds to me like you think this (the White House being “owned” by Putin) is all hilarious and funny. That surreal comedy and absurd Twitter-speak on social media machines is all LOL and hilarious for you to consume and react-comment to. At least that’s my initial take on how you (your electric media message) are treating extremely serious Russian information warfare against NATO and especially the United States of America. You can take people off of Twitter, but you can’t get them to stop the Tweet-style mockery and sarcasm to extremely important and serious matters.

Your reply serves to banalize that USA is attacking Canada and doing other absurd and hyper-real surreal comedy actions in service to the Kremlin.

“In the twenty-first century the techniques of the political technologists have become centralized and systematized, coordinated out of the office of the presidential administration, where Surkov would sit behind a desk on which were phones bearing the names of all the “independent” party leaders, calling and directing them at any moment, day or night. The brilliance of this new type of authoritarianism is that instead of simply oppressing opposition, as had been the case with twentieth-century strains, it climbs inside all ideologies and movements, exploiting and rendering them absurd. One moment Surkov would fund civic forums and human rights NGOs, the next he would quietly support nationalist movements that accuse the NGOs of being tools of the West. With a flourish he sponsored lavish arts festivals for the most provocative modern artists in Moscow, then supported Orthodox fundamentalists, dressed all in black and carrying crosses, who in turn attacked the modern art exhibitions. The Kremlin’s idea is to own all forms of political discourse, to not let any independent movements develop outside of its walls. Its Moscow can feel like an oligarchy in the morning and a democracy in the afternoon, a monarchy for dinner and a totalitarian state by bedtime.” ― Peter Pomerantsev, Nothing Is True and Everything Is Possible: The Surreal Heart of the New Russia, year 2014

Yes. I know. I live here, too. You know what fucks with my head? I’ve seen posts here on Lemmy outlining the specifics of how Trump/Musk actually stole the election. And you know what? If we’ve figured it out, then we’re not the only ones. But nobody in a position of power and authority did anything. They knew; and they let him do it.

But anyway, I merely want to suggest that you’re current tactics are more likely to alienate people. If you wish to get people to open their eyes, there might be better ways?

But I am just another idiot doom scrolling; what do I know, right? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don’t believe they manipulated votes. since 1999 I’ve lived in an RV as my home office, I’ve traveled and lived in 25 cities.

This is what USA has become since the introduction of the Apple iPhone in year 2007. Since all the streaming platforms and Elon Musk is a perfect example with the purchase of Twitter.

People are becoming so in love with technology and machines that they are dehumanizing people. That’s the story of America.

This isn’t a stolen election, people actually are attracted to a 78 year old man who has an Apple iPhone addiction and consumes Russian mental manipulation. Donald Trump does not live in objective scientific reality. He lives in Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News HDTV and memes he consumes off the Internet. And all that matters to most people is that decoration on a meme makes an idea sound good. That a pretty picture along with one or two sentences of wors made almost any idea attractive.

People in the USA have become so meme addled since year 2015, they are attracted to the stereotype of a loud fat male American that the rest of the world thinks is “bad taste” and ignorant. The problem is morality comprehension, people are attracted to bad things. As long as they can keep consuming Fox News, Elon Musk antics, Reality TV, Joe Rogan, etc. They are putting into their minds more and more junk and Donald Trump attracts people.

The problem is “brain rot” of an entire society. Not “stolen elections”. There are far better people out of 300 million that could be President, but people are attracted to the shit-talk and insults. The problem is: the people. The population.

Your read is way way way fucking off base. Might be my fault, I thought I was clear but I suppose I understand how one might not think so.

I do not find anything about this administration or their actions to be funny or amusing. I find the people and policies that makeup MAGA to be abhorrent. To be honest, I think you and I can probably agree politically on a lot of topics.

What I was commenting on, through sarcasm (my bad for not including the /s I guess), was your sweeping generalization. Those only serve to divide, further pushing members of the working class to splinter off into smaller groups to be more easily exploited and controlled by the ownership class.

Maybe its hyperbole and I missed it? Maybe not, perhaps you truly believe everyone in the US deserves, wanted, and supports what our government is doing. Perhaps you think we aren’t doing enough to resist? I can agree to that, all the protests I’ve been to have been smaller than I had hoped. I’m also getting in touch with other orgs in my area to get more started, hopefully we can get something happening.

Idk what to tell you. Your post came off as very crass to me, and I responded with heavy sarcasm.

Perhaps you suffer from a media literacy problem of light-speed social machines. I suggest you study over on [email protected]

You react-comment instead of try to understand someone. I also suggest [email protected] - it is a MASSIVE crisis all across the World Wide Web in year 2025 that people react-comment and don’t seek understanding. James Joyce, Irish Writer, was dealing with the same crisis of Dublin life over 100 years ago. The metaphor of the “Tower of Babel” and how humans get in conflicts over language and jumping to conclusions and at each other’s throat.

I mean, if you think all of us are Trumpers, then sure?

Why would I think something so shallow and superficial like your 12-word Twitter-length Bluesky-length message reply?

I’ve expressed what I think in hundreds of pages of discussion here on Lemmy, but you want to reply with ideas that imply people are “Trumpers”, without even defining what that means.

I think it is people with accounts like “Joke Diety” identities (with no real name or identity) who find the USA amusing and funny as the Kremlin simulacra patterns are played out across all social media platforms since March 2013 and nobody resists or tries to counter it and thinks it is all hilarious. AP released survey data today. ~40% of Americans support Trump’s handling of the economy and trade. ~50% support his immigration policy which includes direct violation of free speech protections, one of America’s founding principles.

      OP has a point.

      https://apnews.com/article/trump-poll-immigration-tariffs-trade-b7a430909606d6b8b27cfbc5049a32b4

Right now, the entire nation either supports Trump’s actions or are allowing him to proceed. It’s not a good look. Global trust in America as a tried and true partner (and even occasionally a force for good) is crumbling with each passing day.

You just clowned around on Lemmy social media with your hate-speech. Exactly my point of the population of media consumers, the nation of USA. You worship hate leaders and you tell people to “Fuck you” that you disagree with, just like MAGA. You think computers are so awesome you dehumanize people. Yha, you do not know or understand media ecology. Probably never learned from Neil Postman or Marshall McLuhan, or have long ago forgotten it.

Your exemplifying some pretty clowny behavior

Maybe the problem is you are using a computer and you can’t see beyond the framing of the machine you consume your media on? You are giving 9-word Twitter-length Bluesky-length reaction comments to Elon Musk X media content.

Essentially your comment boils down to: I am smarter than you, Stephen Gutknecht is a dumb idiot, but me BleatingZombie hiding my real identity on a machine system I’m not the zombie in a media enviornment. Only the people I respond to with my 9-word shit-talk are the zombies.

You witness this all over in 2024 and 2025 social media systems. Egoism “shade throwing” behaviors everywhere.
