“Aliens aren’t furry”
Are you seriously going to say that when Chewbacca is one of the most well known sci-fi aliens and is a literally walking carpet of floof? And in a similar Star Warsy vein, what about all the Bothans that died to get the Death Star plans before Disney decided to retcon that and say that there was a defector on the engineering team instead?
Anyway, what about servals? As in the adorable spotty leggy jumpy cats that have kinda gone viral in the cat memes scene recently?
You know what, I’m gonna agree with this! If we consider original species like Sergals, Protogens, Avali, and Dutch Angel Dragons to count as furry, then logically Wookiees, Bothans, Kzinti, Pokemon, and all other animal-adjacent aliens have to count too. Furry is either restricted just to real world animals, or it includes fictional species as well, whether that’s mythological creatures, fandom species, or community-created species.
Being fair, the tier list really deserves an update, might remake this in the future if someone is willing to add a bunch more species to the site.

Yeah cuz, like of course it’s a furry, but just because it’s an anthro cat. Not all aliens are furries and not all furries are aliens.
Not all aliens are furries and not all furries are aliens.
My point is that the inverse is true as well - some aliens can be furries and some furries are aliens. It’s just a matter of whether the particular species has animalistic traits or not.

mausesmousesThere’s literally so many. Canines, hyenas, kangaroos, raccoons, otters, and bears are S-tier.
Depends on the design for me, many sonas are simply S tier~ I even agree that some foxes are S tier and unique, but when ranking each species as a whole is different for me, especially 'cause a lot of uninspired fox designs pull it down to F.
And personal opinion on bears and such, but I don’t like baras much. But that’s just my taste.
In terms of aesthetics, I do love a good sabretoothed cat.
FR, if there were sabertoothed on the list they’d be S tier imo.
I’m genuinely perplexed by the fact that Sergals get ranked down because they’re “too popular”, but Protogens don’t.
Tbh was hypocritical of me, ngl, the visors just hit some spot for me. And also I put sharks in S tier and a friend also pointed out they’re pretty popular too, I’m biased, not gonna pretend I’m not.
Nothing wrong with being biased - you like what you like. There’s just more to what anyone likes or dislikes than whether it’s popular or not. :)
