That’s why I ride a single speed bike. This can’t really happen to me anymore.
For me single speed bike chains kept breaking while my geared cycle chains have never gave up on me yet
I’ve only had this one, but in 5 years of daily commutes, the only thing that broke is a pedal (I hit it pretty hard on accident, and it bent).
