There are efforts to change how decisions are made about which books libraries should stock and which section they belong in. Some advocate using a national rating system like the one used for movies.
Librarians go to school and get masters degrees specifically to help make decisions on these matters.
Maybe leave it up to them? Since they’re the ones who run the library anyway?
Of course that’s the answer but the real problem isn’t the books. IMO the problem is the political goals of christo nationalists funded by multiple foreign entities designed to sew chaotic discord among the
votingpublic. This is just an attack vector like the “certification of votes” was. It’s a target for aggression. They are at war I believe.
Why mandate your morals be applied to all? The libraries in question already have methods in place to restrict access to what a child can check out.
Also, you PABB Moms could actually go with your children to the library, instead of acting all outraged when you don’t and they check out something you deem morally reprehensible.
On top of that, most libraries already have a system in place if patrons object to a book.

the patron. duh. And maybe the parents if the reader isn’t old enough to have their own card.
So not the local religious zealot who want kids to be uneducated, easily influenced, and willing to blindly follow authority?! Crazy that.
I know, right?
me. i do
Aright, you got the job. Heres 11 000 books. I’ll bring you another 11 000 tomorrow. You can read 8 books per minute, right? Without sleep?
Uhhhh, the person checking it out?
