Shame it’s a Unity project. I’d be worried for the developer if Unity ever decides to start charging fees per install or something equally bullshit again.
Too be fair, if the source is on GitHub then anyone can download it and build it without too much worry of unity’s recent fuckery.

Completely fan made engine replacement for Daggerfall in Unity! Mod support!
Mod support and, more importantly, LOTS of quality of life improvements, like not needing to run DOSBox, more readable fonts, better menu and settings options, modern default WASD + mouse keybinds and fuckloads of bugfixes, much like OpenMW, all things considered.
I think they rebuilt the game in Unity. I do know they say to not go with the one on GoG as it is outdated. I only learned about the whole thing yesterday.

And it’s moddable and stable and fixed all the bugs form the original.
Super fun for those of us who grew up playing it, and a great way to experience a genuinely better and more accessible version of daggerfall for new players.
I was playing it before 1.0, it surprised me how fun Daggerfall can be after the initial dungeon since it’s so damn hard do die there, also tried to do character creation cheesing I read in the wiki but it didn’t work since they did fix the bugs lol.
I only stopped playing because since it wasn’t finished my main quest didn’t advance after 30 days in the route I was in. I recommend the DREAM mod to get some high quality textures.
