Gutted that this article did not contain the electrifying utterance by Sunak that driving at 20mph is against British standards. Plenty of other guff, though.
@AngstyPony I’ve lived in what could basically be called a 15 minute city since before the term was invented, and I’m pretty sure I go to the shops more than if I had to drive there. It’s about a 5 minute round trip on foot, so I’ll often pop round if I want just one thing *right now*
Loss of freedom of movement was one of the concerns so their solution was to put movement behind a paywall (car ownership).
Conspiracy mythology is often just a projection surface for represssed authoritarian ideologies, I guess.

@FireRetardant @AngstyPony That’s because what they claim to be concerned about (restriction of movement) is not what they are actually concerned about (promotion of cars). And they tie-in slogging your guts out with being able to break through that paywall.
