While there are definitely some clunky aspects that still need to be worked out, I’ve been having a blast. Wanted to give the devs a shoutout-- an incredible accomplishment for a three-man dev team!
That’s awesome. Such a cool game, happy to see the devs hard work pay off
Battlebit is the best battlefield game I’ve played.
I really loved it and it reminded me a lot of BF3 and it’s a lot of fun, but it definitely needs improvement.
As one review I read pointed out, the game is very split brained. It plays like an arcade shooter but then has weird things that should be in a military sim like tactical reloads, leaning, and zeroing (which is unmapped by default). Healing is another weird thing where only medics can heal you while you can only bandage bleeds.
My other major gripe is that the game is incredibly difficult to actually see anyone, the ground cover and soldier camo works too well. You get zeroed by someone you didn’t see or just ambushed out of nowhere.
I want to recommend it to my friends who all love the older BF games but at this point the game is not polished and needs some work. Depending on the direction the devs take I don’t know if it will be.
Its kind of unfortunate that Operation Harsh Doorstop got overrun by cheaters very early on and was effectively doomed to fail after such a short period of actually being pretty fun.
Hopefully the same doesn’t happen with this game.
Really? That sucks, I had hopes it would eventually turn into something great. Tried it with a mate a while back and decided to give it some more time. We’ve both been looking for a good war game for a while.
games good… I hope the devs come to and allow workshop content. Map makers would go ham on this one and games like this having 100s of maps just add to the longevity.
