I mean shifting responsibility over to social workers etc for some of their jobs rn will accomplish most of that, but yes, it’s fucking insane how many war weapons they get to use on the people who literally pay for them, accountability definitely needs to be addressed as well

Police officers using gov funds to finance their own criminal activity in the name of “protecting the public”
Police officers committing crimes and the city pays the victims
Police officer unions protecting all bad apples. Insurance companies are struggling to reel them in. Cities are at their mercy.
Defund them. Make them pay for their own shit.
Because right now, they can absolutely fuck around with little consequences.
