What’s the motivation when they offer an older game 100% discounted?
I know more recent games are based on micro transactions and selling your data.
A guess would be marketing / goodwill for their next release.
I am 100% sure it’s marketing. Dead Island 2 is coming to Steam. Riptide 100% discount banner is paired with DI2 banner and when you click on it, you get taken to a page for DI2 coming soon to Steam.
I mean, I loaded up steam to get the freebies, then went and finally bought Cyberpunk, so probably fence-sitters like me!
