Edit edit therefore I disagree with the premise. They are indeed PRESENT currently, and a serious issue, all over the world. But they aren’t new. It was pretty hard to be “industrial” at much of anything many hundreds of years ago, but that doesn’t mean bigotry and tribalism weren’t widespread.
