I’ve taken a deep dive into 3d printing. The tech moves at a slow but steady pace and it’s one of the few tech related things I’m aware of that feels like it’s a real user community movement still. Drones to some degree are getting this feeling too, but a bit more commercial crap there still.

I really wish people were more interested in open format ear buds and bone conductors. They are the perfect blend between personalized notifications, background music and being able to hear what’s going on around you as well as so much more comfortable than having your ear holes plugged up. I wear mine all day long sometimes and forget I’m even wearing them.
If it’s between that and another TikTok, yes please do. These choices are as painful as a US presidential election.
I dunno. It’s all about lowering the barriers of accessibility. Tape drives are not widely adopted. Cloud camera monitoring is already common. Windows is pushing this recall feature, cameras are on everything, AI video analysis is taking off, and the populous is completely numb on privacy issues. My tech paranoia sense is usually right on track. We’ll see

Write your local government and encourage them to get rid of these. It’s out of control. Districts that have strict carry-on / carry-out laws without public trashes have some of the cleanest parks I’ve ever seen and you can eat without insect attack. Sounds like a hassle to not have trashes, but if you’ve experienced it, you’ll likely agree it’s totally worth it.

Probably being paranoid, but it seems to me like one of the few untapped utilities of this much cheap storage is just increased surveillance. Hi resolution recording of everything, all the time.
As someone that has never sharpened a chisel, I have no clue how this thing would be used from the description or pictures. Not that you need to pander to me, but if interested in a broader audience, I feel like a video would be very helpful here.

Yes in high noise environments, like on airplane for example, open formats can be limited. Unfortunately I don’t think open formats can be your only headphone. That being said, for my day to day life at least they are my goto 95% of the time.
