Wow, the pi constant naming inconsistency is terrible.

It’s another major drawback though. Imagine how irritating it would be to have to find a charger and stop for an hour+ every 2 1/2 hours of highway travel.

How much is normally in there? And how?

Zeppo@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How high are chicken meat prices in the us?English2·12 days agoThe prices vary based on how much usable meat there is in the cut vs. bones, and how much work went into cutting it. Wings are mainly bones for instance. It can also be how fast it sells, so the risk the packages will spoil before they’re sold and what quantities they order or produce it in.
Zeppo@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How high are chicken meat prices in the us?English4·13 days agoYou can go to grocery store sites and set your location to a specific store, and look up items.
Anyway I looked it up at my local Walmart (Arizona, US) and boneless breasts are $2.69 a lb, boneless skinless thighs, 3.49, and wings, $1.19 a lb. Ten lbs of chicken leg quarters, $6.50. So it doesn’t seem to have gone up a lot.

Zeppo@sh.itjust.worksto Chronic Illness@lemmy.world•The "spoons" metaphor. Is it helpful?English7·17 days agoI used to think it meant that it was hard to do things when you have to carry around spoons in your hands all day. But spoons as an energy unit? Start with 5 spoons and slowly your spoon power decreases? I agree, it makes no sense as a metaphor.

Zeppo@sh.itjust.workstoUnited States | News & Politics@midwest.social•Elon Musk stepping down from DOGE in MayEnglish2·21 days agoOh, it’s horrific. That’s been a bad enough trend in cars for many reasons, such as how it makes it almost impossible to adjust anything without looking at the screen, unlike physical buttons. Things like “can’t open the glove box manually” is ridiculous. Then there are also issues like the electric doors that you can’t open from the outside if the car lacks power, and how the manual releases are difficult to locate and in some models, rear doors don’t even have manual releases. The regular door operation is stupid, too. When I was in a Model 3 Uber, it wasn’t even clear to me how to open the door from the inside at first. That just scratches the surface too.
Zeppo@sh.itjust.worksto conservative@lemmy.world•Saving this one for posterity. It will make a great before/after, trust.6·22 days agoOh, of course. At some point all the right wing pundits will start talking at the same time about what a good idea it is, and they’ll eat it up.

I’m surprised some of those comments aren’t already deleted. Overall, there’s more dissent in there than there used to be. I love the “I can’t believe that Trump is acting like a complete idiot“ comment. Yeah, I am very surprised.
Hmm, I basically agree with this
