Yeah, I don’t believe that Mozilla could afford to lose that funding.
Yeah, I don’t believe that Mozilla could afford to lose that funding.
I’ve been worried about this. I figured that Mozilla is funded by Google (so they can say that they’ve taken steps to avoid the perception that they are a Browser monopoly). Would Mozilla lose their funding of Google no longer has that Browser monopoly?
That is true. There’s also the Sony link buds (without the noise cancelling) that work for that
Or just $5 million dollars would do it: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-gold-card-eb5-visa-5-million-immigration-oligarch-cbs-news-explains/
I’d imagine that they’ll be more expensive to insure in the future if they are getting targeted en masse.
I wonder what the insurance premium on a Tesla is these days?
Haha, with a capital C to be sure.
It seems to hit that right balance of bleeding edge while SUSE are still testing the packages for a bit to ensure there aren’t bad updates. Fedora sounds interesting to me as well, but I’m not going to fix what isn’t broken.
I’ve been mainly on Linux for a few years now and honestly once you have your alternative apps going it’s golden.
I think it would be great if the technology was more mature, and there was proper accountability for the negative consequences. I think we need a conservative approach npw, where the CEO of the companies pushing self driving are personally held liable for manslaughter if someone dies due to an error.
Jalapenos are too important to me to not consider them generally underrated.
OpenSUSE Tumbleweed Gang. The only distro I haven’t been able to break after 6 months (well, I have, but I’ve been able to snapper rollback every time)
Please let this finally be the year of the Linux desktop.
This could be very handy to be able to still be notifiable while not driving your family crazy.
I’m not trying to be a dick, but in what ways is Jellyfin vastly inferior to Plex? I haven’t used Plex before but Jellyfin does everything me and my family need from a streaming service.
The most financially destructive edgelord Zieg Heil in history.
Sounds like someone is in some financial trouble with TSLA dropping.
Haha maybe! Though I kind of expected no others due to how technologically disinterested people are down here TBH.
Oh yeah the annual firebreak check for sure does happen out my way, though definitely not every year. I think that’s spot on re/ personal vendettas. Oh yeah that stuff gets more hectic every year, even residential bush fire risk for new builds are really strict now depending on the BAL rating.
I did the maths once and estimated that there’s probably about 10 people down here who ever signed up for Lemmy and 1 - 2 people who are active users, guess you’re that other guy lol.
I’m not on a farm, but I’m on a bush block in a bushfire risk 2 according to that map (good link!). Never had a ranger come around, though we did recently have a local fire brigade volunteer do a info session/Meetup at the end of our street. I would imagine business out here/wineries would have to formally have a plan.
Please be real…
