Being biodegradable doesn’t mean that it belongs in that environment. This could have messed with the native plants and animals in a bad way. The landfill isn’t a great option but it is possible that it was industrially composted.

Typewriters were staggered so that the mechanical arms wouldn’t collide. Your finger bends out and back linearly. Personally I prefer split keyboards or ones like the Atreus that have each half angled out, this avoids having to bend your wrists. But either way keyboards with linear columns are more ergonomic than staggered columns.
You have any data whatsoever to back that up?
This has big “You’re depressed? Have you tried going for a walk?” vibes

I got mine at the launch sale for $1000, so $300 less than the S24. I agree that the S24 has better specs. Still not sure what the “huge drawbacks” are.
Edit: prices on Amazon are $1,099 vs $1,049 for the flip and s24 respectively so 🤷♂️
snail_hunterto Hardware@lemmy.world•Samsung expects drastically lower demand for Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip711·5 个月前I have the flip 5. It’s really not that expensive compared to other flagships and haven’t seen any “huge drawbacks”. The cameras definitely aren’t as good as other phones in the same price range but it’s nice that it works as it’s own tripod and is pretty pocketable.

I disagree. You probably shouldn’t rewire your house yourself but changing out an outlet/switch or installing a water softener are extremely easy tasks that would not be worth hiring a contractor for. There’s quite a lot you can safely do on your own as long as you educate yourself and triple check everything.
I don’t remember the exact numbers (and am not a doctor) but the vast majority of the average person’s daily sodium intake comes from processed foods, not home cooking.
Abandoned carts occupy parking spots and can ram into cars and people. The issue isn’t that it creates more work for employees
The saltiness of people’s sweat varies quite a lot, so you may just not lose a lot of sodium that would otherwise need to be replaced via electrolytes.
I got interested in running after hopping off the couch and doing a 5k earlier this year. I felt absolutely terrible for a few days afterwards to no one’s surprise.
I don’t really have a history with running but so far it’s stuck. I like how I can just get out and and zone out while enjoying the scenery. From there I went down the rabbit hole of “how far does this sport go” and kept seeing longer and longer distances. I’m definitely the kind of person that likes taking things to their logical extreme so maybe my why is just “how far can I go?”
I mean modern ICE cars can have this same problem.
On the street you can walk away if you’re not into it. Being a captive audience makes it suck

There’s a great extension for gnome called Breezy Desktop that lets you mock an ultra wide monitor in the glasses and it’s replaced my dual monitor setup. Still have to take them off every now and then due to VR nausea but I haven’t used them too long, hope to move past the nausea.
I do wish I had gotten the vitures for the FOSS friendliness.
Everything I’ve seen has recommended working bottom to top. “Working your way up is recommended because suds will run down the wall if you start at the top, and it’ll be harder to see dirt and debris that needs to be scrubbed off.”
