3·3 days agoThat’s… just a tram. Many large cities have them and they indeed sometimes stop at traffic lights. Or when some asshole parked too close to the tracks.
I feel that’s more a general character statement, and not an indictment of specific crimes.

4·3 days agoLA has trains? All I know about LA is from films and movies and I don’t recall ever seeing a train. Are there films or shows that feature the LA train system?
Then you need a movement like “Cops need to stop murdering people”.

ShermanPosting@piefed.social•"LOL" says Minnesota, "LMAO"
53·3 days agoFormer Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura, pictured here with a colleague, famously replied to one of Virginia’s requests with: “Why? I mean, we won. We took it. That’s makes it our heritage.”

Sure they could, but there is no epidemic of white people being killed and it’d sound ridiculous. While “all lives matter” is obviously true.
I completely agree. But I still think as a slogan/name of a movement BLM is still a bad choice. Exactly because of these discussions. Something like “Stop killing black people” would have been better. That’s something you can hardly misconstrue.
It hits different when you personally know stormtroopers.
