Planes fail all the time. That’s five separate incidents from this week. It’s very rare that an accident happens, and this can be seen in the statistics. If you’re curious how accidents do happen, check out Mentour Pilot’s videos on YouTube. I understand that being in control of a car feels safer but the statistics don’t lie.

Completely free. Kind of. It’s like less than €200 a year to study at a university in Finland.
I thought it was per liter and moved on to the comments but I now realize that that would’ve been even worse. Don’t really know what I was thinking, I can be stupid at times

That’s like if Mexico renamed the gulf to La biblioteca and they changed it for everyone. That’s objectively wrong.
tauonite@lemmy.worldto Latin Language@lemm.ee•"It's so much trouble remembering modern pronou-"English6·3 months agoYeah I agree with you. I’m personally for a universal gender neutral singular third person neopronoun, or they/them, whichever becomes common (they/them is already common but with some opposition and can be a bit clunky sometimes). I am, however, against personalized neopronouns. Those are just additional names for a person that you need to remember and use correctly. Pronouns have five cases in English, which would make every single person have six names you need to pick from depending on context. It’s impractical and unnecessary. I thought the point of pronouns was so that the name didn’t have to be repeated again and again?
Just have a universal pronoun and it’s all over, everyone is happy.

That’s a steal. Just… how do I set a reminder to buy it in the morning? (okay I added an event in my calendar, I think I’m good)

As far as I know, for a device to trust it, it needs to be signed by a trusted CA. You’d either need to compromise a CA and create your own certificate for the website or make the target device trust a custom CA. In the case of a custom CA, the user explicitly needs to perform an action to trust it. How is this not enough on a public network?
You can’t just talk about teledildonics without mentioning the great buttplug.io. Its creator even has notifications set up for when someone mentions teledildonics on Reddit (maybe not anymore, haha). Many games have support for it through a mod and IIRC one officially released a ‘sex update’ to support buttplug.io. Not a sex game, by the way.

And less supported software! Open-source programs can often be compiled for FreeBSD but many closed-source and some open-source software won’t work in FreeBSD. There is the Linuxulator, which is basically Wine but for Linux programs on FreeBSD but it doesn’t have perfect Linux software support yet.

I wouldn’t worry about it much but “amount” should be used with uncountable nouns, “number” with countable nouns
I’ve done extensive thinking but I haven’t come up with anything I could post. Never posted or even commented on Reddit but maybe one day I’ll do or make something postable on Lemmy
As much as I hate Elmo, I still value truth more. There is 0 evidence he’s behind that account. And given that the account claims to own Twitter (= claims to be Elmo), it’s far more likely to be a troll than a secret-but-not-secret account by the richest fuckface in the world
