minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish1•1 month agoThe point is that we should only be taxing the value of the land, not the value of buildings/improvements built on it. ‘Property tax’ implies you’re taxing both, ‘land tax’ implies only taxing the land itself
My experience is that vacant land does have property tax collected on it. But that may be unique to Ontario.
