Gun Gale Online knows what it is and punches accordingly to it’s weight. A lot of anime with potential fail because they try being something they aren’t. GGO is just a fun romp and delievers exactly what it promises.
Probably the only one out of the rest of the franchise that I wish was real. The closest we have is Destiny 2 I suppose for that FPSMMO feeling. Or if the GGO game worked more like PSO2 in terms of meeting random players on the field.
Well the MC is totally different from original SAO. But the storyline is quite good. Up to you
