    I think a big part of that divide is whether they were old enough to remember it. I was only a few months old on 9/11 and I’ve always been pretty irreverent about it.

      I was in high school when it happened. I got to see the government overreach, the increased racism and jingoism masquerading as patriotism, the transition of airports, the start of a war we just finally ended, and eventually what Rudy Giuliani turned into.

      But I also know a good/horrible knock knock joke about it.

      I remember watching it happen in school and even I know jet fuel can’t melt steel beams, but a good hot sauce will make a good go of it.
