I think I must be missing some major changes since the last time I played, it’s been a while but I was merely remarking on the oddities of spells that require dead creatures if the DM is going to insist that upon death you are now an “object”. Really it’s whatever the DM wants I suppose just seems like an odd choice personally.
What do you mean by playing RAW? Is that a similar to AD&D or more like D&D?

Edit: after rereading it I feel like I might be following better and just wanted to ask if everything is going okay? It’s cool if I’m misinterpreting your intentions by saying that none of the races are described as having hands, I just want to set differences aside and offer some humanity if you need (or want) it.
