Previous handle was a pimple on a 2 way screw (no idea what these are called or how it was still holding on) so replaced it with one on 4 bolts on washers for a better grip.

After taking it off it appears that the screw was “sealed” in some sort of wood filler.

    Looks like an overkill. But why not? Imagine archeologists in the year of 4740 would find a “proper handle” in the middle of nowhere without any signs of settlement nearby. Just a proper handle on 4 bolts and nothing else…

      Doubt it, its low quality metal, claims to be outdoor, but I highly doubt it. But really the reason for going that far is because the shed and the door are wooden and when it rains, the door expands and becomes hard to open. So I wanted a handle I can really yank without worrying about pulling it out (unlike the pimple that was on there before). I do want to change this entire shed but being realistic its a 10-15 year plan budget wise, so the handle only needs to last until then.
