I always kinda hated this response. There’s certainly a lot of people who never find a relationship because they never meet anyone, but there’s also a lot of people who never find a relationship because no one they’ve met is interested in them in that way. I know a few people like this, and they’re good people (i.e. not what you’d imagine from the term “incel”).
I try and play forward this respone with someone like that and I just don’t see it going anywhere:
A) [sentiment of above greentext]
B) What did you try? Did you go outside and meet people?
A) I’ve talked to a lot of people at school/work but none of them were into me. Also tried online dating but got no matches in 6 month so I quit.
B) Those people at school/work, how did those go?
A) Well there was this girl I saw at the library who I saw was playing a game on her switch so I asked her about it. After talking with her for an hour or two I asked for her number and a couple weeks later when I asked her out she said she’s “not ready for a relationship right now”. There was also this girl I know at work who I thought I had a connection with but when I asked she said she’s too busy.
