    I think you may need a remedial civics class. The department of education is a cabinet-level department, which means its head is appointed by the president and confirmed by Congress. Nobody voted or could vote either on this specific topic nor for the people directly responsible for it. It’s greed and corruption on a systemic level, not the failing of individual voters.

      Republicans repeatedly blocked Bidens attempts to forgive student loans. It has been clear for a long time that Republicans do not support access to education at any level given their attempts to attack DoE, promote charter schools, attack libraries, and pretty much any pro-education stance.

      Anyone capable of making it to a polling place and casting a vote was capable of understanding that when you vote you are voting for an Administration and the goals of the person you’re voting for are going to be carried out by the administration. In other words your objection here is completely nonsensical. Trump made no secret as to his desire to destroy the education system. Those that voted for him voted for this absolutely.
