This applies to all mediums, but especially in cinema you see it all the time that a person who has watched popular, top-rated Hollywood movies is considered very knowledgeable. Yeah, it doesn’t matter, especially in a private group, but it’s a cringing pain in the ass to listen to these people talk about movies.
