I’ll start: RSS and blogs, news vs. social media XMPP vs. WhatsApp/FB messenger/Snapchat IRC vs. Matrix, Teams, Discord etc. Forums vs. Social media, Reddit, Lemmy(?)
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink6•1 year agoI miss the days when usenet was a standard part of most ISPs included offerings. Hopefully the fediverse can get wnought traction to grow some vibrant communities like we used to enjoy in heyday of the old newsgroups.

I miss the days when usenet was a standard part of most ISPs included offerings.
