While trying to log out or remove my account today I used the delete current account option. I had no idea this meant it was deleting my entire lemmy account! I was able to get it restored by a kind mod but all of my posts and comments are permanently gone.
Can we get a better explanation for this button in the app to prevent others from making the same mistake?
I’m really sorry that happened to you! We’re refining that UX to make that much harder to accidentally do in the future.
No problems. It’s was entirely my fault. Hopefully it can prevent someone else from doing the same thing.
