Disruption and inconvenience are necessary to enacting change. Even with mass public support, nothing really happened for civil rights until MLK was killed and billions of dollars worth of property was torched. A week later, the civil rights laws were created, approved, and enacted.
They did similar with private jets, which seems much better.
Problem being hurting the ruling class has much harder penalties.
I imagine it’s the same with the government.
The idea I guess is to get press attention and make the government look bad. How effective this strategy is remains to be seen.
