It wasn’t bad, I think. Just not what I look for in Star Trek. I did not enjoy Star Trek (and other shows, like Stargate) for its main character drama and emotional troubles, but for the team work and relationship-building. Best episodes of DSC was episodes that focused on this.
And for all its faults, it did give birth to more and better ST shows.
