That said, what my noob brain sees: it attacks white’s c pawn it activates black’s queen it prevents Qa4+, allowing black to castle Edit: Qa4, not Qh4
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink7•4 months agoOn top of that it avoids Bg5, pinning the horsey, which could otherwise maybe be annoying. Also, I thing you meant Qa4+ instead of Qh4+, which is the anarchychess idea in this position for white.
