Hey. I have been posting this everywhere but few people seem to get what it is. Figured this will be the best place. Thanks.
What is Bat? Is it a terminal emulator? In that case, if Bat is compliant with an standard which ncurses is compliant to – i.e most of them, it should work fine. Mind you that there are some rough patches, and some flavors of MD are not supported (yet). If you can link me to bat please do, I am not sure what it is to narrow down the search. Thanks.
Bat seems to be a syntax highlighting cat that calls a pager by default.
I would require your program to pass along any formatting (manly colors) that it receives while adding its own.

ncurses only got 8 basic colors that all terminals support.
