The newest version of the Java Development Kit 23 (JDK) has four new features in the newest release. The two major features which are noteworthy so far is the Vector API, a second preview of the Stream Gatherers, and a preview of primitive types in patterns – such as instanceof and
just move to rust and be done with it :)
Seriously though, Java devs? Moving to Rust?
What’s so surprising about that?
Java is a lot more high-level than Rust. Rust is even a different paradigm.
So? If a Java dev wants to learn Rust, they’ll make it. There are a lot of burned out Java devs wanting to move to something that feels new and exciting again.
But after evaluating the options, I think most would choose the easier language to learn.
