Look at the first picture, wings aren’t spread. The largest baldies are recorded as having 8 foot wingspans- in alaska. They tend to be smaller closer to the equator.

For comparison, if that’s a Hyundai Elantra behind it, it’s 15 feet long. (Close enough for 4 doors whatever it is.)

From what I can see : The car is down slope and probably 35 ft away. The eagle is on the slope and probably 15 ft away. It has an 8 to 9-ft wingspan roughly.

I’ve had one of these land on my boat before so I’m familiar with raptor sizes from the Mid-Atlantic East Coast, USA.

yes. it’s forced perspective. which is what I alluded to by saying “some freaky perspective shit going on”

not saying the bird is actually ginormous. just that it looks ginormous. they’re big birds. Big, dumb birds. (I agree with with Franklin. turkeys > bald eagles. also there’s something hilarious about them trying to get crab apples

Yeah whatever surface it’s on, it’s slightly elevated. It’s a big bird but there’s some optical illusion going on.
