    The median and the mean are usually pretty close when we’re talking about IQ. It’s not like money where a few rich people can throw off the average, as no one has billions of IQ points.

      What I said is statistically correct. IQ is a normalized measurement where median and mean are a score of 100 and the average is within 1 SD of 100. (The SD for IQ is 15.) This means that fewer than half will have below-average intelligence when measured using IQ because the lowest value for average is below the median.
