The data privacy company Onerep.com bills itself as a Virginia-based service for helping people remove their personal information from almost 200 people-search websites. However, an investigation into the history of onerep.com finds this company is operating out of Belarus and Cyprus, and that its founder has launched dozens of people-search services over the years.

if what’s said in this article is true then Mozilla’s currently in one of two situations:
- Mozilla is knowingly partnering with an unreputable company (Onerep).
or
- An insufficient background check was performed before partnering with Onerep.
either way it might be prudent to not use Mozilla Monitor until further information/details are disclosed.
- I’d also suggest using Librewolf as an alternative just in case
also for anyone in the EU you might have some actions for recourse using GDPR if necessary.
