Seriously, a grace period after which I won’t be able to update my apps anymore? Enough is enough, my next phone will be a Fairphone, I’m tired of this bullshit

Actually yes! I mean there are minor annoyances all over the place but there were reasons that lead me to buy an iPhone in the first place. And there are definitely still a lot of things I really like about it! Yet I’m at a point where i don’t feel like buying an iPhone the next time I need a new device.

Alternative app stores have only just been permitted, but one is already available to download. Called the Mobivention App Marketplace, this store is aimed at corporate customers who want a outlet for distributing their own business-focused apps.

      “Mobivention”, that’s bad.

Yeah, it’d have to be someone trying to bypass the restriction just for fun. Unless they really loved Mobile Inventions.

Most of the time ios’s location service uses wifi access points. I was able to look like I was in maine using the mac address and ssid of a wifi router there. As easy as that sounds, if there are a lot of routers around you would probably have to block them out.

It can be relatively easily done with a PC. There is a software I forgot the name, that lets you do many things, including side-loading and gps spoofing. Kinda defeats the purpose, because you can side load right there lol.

I don’t think the 1 month grace period thing should even be legal. If it’s sold in the EU, the user should be able to install third party apps, no matter their location.
