The “Horst-Wessel-Lied”, also known by its opening words “Die Fahne hoch”, was the anthem of the Nazi Party from 1930 to 1945. Are you sure? I may be wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time, but I have the impression that people sing easily “Deutschland über alles”.

The first stanza is not officially banned but it’s only really sung by nazis or edgy teenagers.

Yeah I thought that the first stanza, while not official, was still often sung by normal people and not just by Nazis. Looks like I was wrong 😅
