Tell the vampires to eat more mushrooms. This is clearly a dietary problem!

do have to wonder if, hypthetically speaking, vampires existed in the modern age… what issues they’d have, if any, between multivitamins, and powerful sunscreens, and what have you.

Perhaps they could blend right into society and barely even be noticable?

In Vampire: The Masquerade, we would have multiple identities in each country. And when someone did figure it out, we’d either mind control them or have them killed.

Since Bram Stoker’s Dracula at least, but they expand on it a lot in the game setting. Vampires rule the world - presidents and billionaires around the world fall victim to the vampire Camarilla.

My father had a rare hereditary disease that caused him to need to get frequent blood transfusions near the end of his life. We often joke that we’re modern vampires.

I am extremely light sensitive so I do wear sunscreen even for the drive to and from work, and I do take a multivitamin for my resulting vitamin D deficiency.

Obviously I’m not supernatural and this is all anecdotal but it’s fun to think about.

As an Anne Rice fan since the early nineties, believe you me that I have often thought about giving some vampires a good helping of my vitamin d.
