I posted this in a comment, but it may be useful to have a separated post and update it if new communities are made.

Updated 2023/06/12
Changed format and added new communities from the comments. Thanks to @[email protected].>
Updated 2023/06/13 Bengals, Colts and Commanders communities added to the list. Giants and Chargers added to the list. Steelers also added to the list.
Updated 2023/06/17 Texans instance have changed their domain name. Thank you @[email protected] for the heads up. Added the meme community even if it’s dead.
Waiting for a Seahawks community. And this thread is a good idea, hopefully someone will for nba and mlb too for when team communities form up.
Search for [email protected]
There’s (not yet) dozens of us!
Thanks! I just joined
undefined> [email protected]
Still didn’t come up?
Create the community yourself if you are a fan! It doesn’t matter if it isn’t in the main instance.
How do we create communities? I’m still trying to figure that out…
You can click on “Create Community”, next to the logo from your instance or go directly to https://lemmy.world/create_community. I’m not sure if the mobile apps support this yet, but you should be able to do it from a mobile browser.
Oh I misunderstood then! I thought I had to be in the same instance
I’m new here, and I’m finding it’s easier to join communities not on my hosted instance if links to the community are formatted like this:
[email protected] - Jacksonville Jaguars
Instead of like this:
I need to log in to a mobile browser to my instance (https://sh.itjust.works), then search with the [email protected] string, then subscribe through the sidebar… Just searching with team names is hit and miss, and I can’t seem to ever find anything by url. And going right to the url only lets you join if you’re logged into that instance…
Are other people finding it less than intuitive to find and join communities?
Added to the sidebar on both [email protected] and [email protected].
I own both, I’d prefer [email protected] to be the main community if you want to edit the list, I just figured I’d lock up both domains
Hey, the instance that used to be lemmy.rogers-net.com is now thelemmy.club could you update the Texans community to [email protected]? Thanks
Thank you, I have modified the domain name.
Man the Jags have a community but not the Commanders… How far we’ve fallen 😔
Hey now I created one yesterday haha
