As for multiplayer games, I’ve been playing a lot of Paladins.
For single player, I’ve been on a bit of a retro binge lately. Currently playing Pikmin 2.
What about you?
Disco Elysium. I’m impressed by the extent of the writing.
I just finished up Jedi Survivor. Really enjoyed it. Might start a newgame+
Playing a bunch of online Diplomacy. And I got back into Skyrim recently, although half that time is spent researching and installing new mods, of course.
I’ve been playing quite a bit of TotK, that’s pretty much it for me single player game wise right now. Multiplayer I’ve been semi-consistently playing Hunt: Showdown for a couple years now, and I occasionally will jump in a party for Demeo, or Splitgate.
Prior to TotK I went back to Mount and Blade: Warband recently and enjoyed it, but it hasn’t aged very gracefully to me.
Diablo 4, Chivalry 2 when I need to blow off steam or just get high and bash about and be silly.
For group play, me and my gang have mostly been playing Barotrauma. It’s been a lot of fun. Gives off similar vibes to Space Station 13 for any who ever played that at all.
For single player, been a mix of Age of Wonders 4, My Life as a Teenage Exocolonist, and finally got around to buying Cyberpunk and playing it, since I finally have a rig beefy enough to handle it and they’ve gotten the bulk of the bugs under control now.
Yay for Pikmin 2! One of my all-time favorites, second only to Steambot Chronicles for the PS2. I’m excited for Pikmin 4, but I’ve been passing the time until its release by started up an account on Dragon Quest X online now that the translation programs are well-integrated into the game. It’s one of the few DQ games I hadn’t played yet, and I’m having a blast!
With the new release of Tears Of The Kingdom, I decided to get back into Breath Of The Wild because I never finished it! I was close… but just decided to start over. Otherwise, I’ve been playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt (Which is a super cool 3rd person battle royale shooter), and Valheim before that!
Amnesia: The Bunker has been amazing so far. It has been checking all the boxes for effective, fun-to-play, horror. The gameplay loop and systems make it so it’s easy to pick up and put down, where each adventure into the bunker feels like you are breaking some new ground before returning back to the central saferoom. The sound and level design are also perfect. All I can say is that it really does feel like I am in a sprawling WW1 bunker that has a horrifying eldritch monster burrowing in its walls.
Legend of Zelda: Totk and Dave the Diver.
I like single player exploration, apparently.
Age of Empires 2. Started playing it again recently and addicted!
I just finally got around to finishing Spider-Man on PS4, and I’m planning on getting to Final Fantasy XV, but for now I’ve been going through a bunch of demos on Steam. Primarily ones from the Wholesome Direct, mainly looking for interesting experiences and/or relaxing puzzles. I tried out that Let’s! Revolution! title which uses some Minesweeper-like mechanics, and that interested me big-time so on the wishlist it goes in order to keep track of that. Plenty of pleasant stuff to try right now.
For multiplayer mostly Overwatch 2, or the new 1.20 Minecraft update
For single player, either Tears of the Kingdom, Bone’s Cafe, or Necesse which is my favorite game right now. It’s like Terraria and Rimworld merged together, plus has multiplayer.
Im on a hero-shooter binge. Currently playing through CULTIC and Boltgun and they’re awesome
Have you heard of or tried Ultrakill? Retro-styled like CULTIC, but VERY fast paced.
Oh I absolutely have. When I watched Jerma play it I immediately bought it
Honkai Star Rail, Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, Jedi Survivor… considering modding Skyrim again lol.
How is Honkai Star Rail? I was surprised when I tried Genshin Impact how playable it was. If I had been able to get any of my friends to play, I might have stuck with it for a bit.
Honestly, I love it heaps. I like it so much more than Genshin. I never spend money on gacha games, but I enjoy Star Rail enough that I actually dropped a bit. It’s got me fully hooked. The characters and fighting are a blast!
