After a deadly stabbing at a children’s event in northwestern England, an array of online influencers, anti-Muslim extremists and fascist groups have stoked the unrest, experts say.

A range of far-right factions and individuals, including neo-Nazis, violent soccer fans and anti-Muslim campaigners, have promoted and taken part in the unrest, which has also been stoked by online influencers.

    It’s the brown people. They want the brown people to stop coming here on boats. They want them “sent back”, and then they want to kick out the ones who have been here for generations. It’s mostly the Muslims they want gone, but they’ll quite happily boot out anyone who doesn’t qualify as white.
