    This will probably be my next MacBook whenever the time comes. I have just recently gotten a 2020 Intel MBA - the last before the Apple Silicon transition - and will probably ride that for another few years until Apple kills Intel support entirely and then look for a used one of these.

    I was happy to see the performance tests. I was wondering how much the bigger body would help with performance and clearly it’s not that much.

    I don’t know why people would opt for bigger screen size on laptops? Isn’t the idea of a portable laptop to be “portable”?

    Good take as always. I wish he had compared its value to the 14" MBP though. That $1700 for 16/512 is only $300 less than the 14" MBP with the same plus all the Pro extras like Pro chip, miniLED etc.

    1" is 1" but the 14" just seems like the better value at that point. I suppose that’s probably what they’re hoping we’ll think.
