Planning a roadtrip early this fall. Will be in the Ozarks for around 3-4 days. Anyone have hikes or camping spot recommendations?

Check out North Sylamore Creek. I don’t think that it qualifies as being “in” the Ozarks, but it is at one of the trailheads for the Ozark Highlands Trail. The hiking trail is really beautiful and has lots of different sights. There is also a cavern nearby called Blanchard that is worth a visit.

Last time I hiked on that trail we arrived at the Blanchard Springs area there was a huge Cub Scout campout below the huge rock face. There were hundreds of them. As we walked through their gathering a lot of them offered us breakfast and that was a really cool experience.

I camped in Blanchard springs. The campground was super close to the Creek which was great. In the morning, the fog was floating a few inches above the creek in the opposite direction which was pretty cool to see.

Would recommend to anyone else who’s interested.

Buffalo National River has some awesome trails and camping. The Hawksbill Crag/Whitaker Point trail is a must-see with that iconic rock formation, and you can camp at Steel Creek campground nearby. The veiws are absolutely stunning in fall when the leaves change!
