Was curious about 3rd party Django database backends and went to djangopackages.org to find the options. I was surprised to find that there wasn’t already a grid for database backends, so I made one and added some packages I found already on the site and ones I found in a quick search on Github.

But this is a list for django-*-only packages, isn’t it? There is just few stable ones which also support Python 3

Not sure if you mean packages whose name follows the django-* pattern or something else. If the former, then no, it’s for pretty much anything code package/project/library that relates to Django.

Re: the Python 3 thing, that’s weird, yeah. Some of those show updates in like May 2023 but also no Python 3 support. That’s weird. I wonder if the metadata scraping isn’t working correctly or if the data is incorrect in PyPI/Github.
